As a supporter you can expect from us:
- Responsibility - We will use your gift wisely and well for the purpose for which it was given.
- Appreciation - Upon receipt of your gift, we will send you a letter expressing our gratitude and document your gift for tax purposes. Catholic Charities is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, so your gift is tax deductible.
- Privacy - We respect the wishes of our donors who choose to remain anonymous. Be assured that information about your donation is handled with respect and confidentiality to the extent of the law. We do not sell or exchange information or mailing lists.
Make your gift by sending check or by phone / Make a secure online donation.
Make a gift in honor or memory of a friend or loved one- to commemorate a special achievement or milestone, such as wedding, anniversary, or birthday, or to honor someone important to you who has made a difference in your life. We will be happy to acknowledge this thoughtful act on your behalf.
Matching gifts - many companies will match individual gifts of employees, retires, or their spouses. Your company's personnel department will inform you if they have a matching gift program that can double your gift to Catholic Charities.
Bequests and other planned gifts - bequests and gifts can take many forms:
- You may make a cash bequest or gifts of appreciation stick to Catholic Charities.
- You can remember Catholic Charities in your will.
- You may give, devise, or bequeath appreciated securities, real property, or personal property including automobiles.
- You May name Catholic Charities as a residuary beneficiary of your estate. A residuary beneficiary receives your estate's remaining assets only after all specific bequests, estate taxes, debts and other expenses have been deducted.
- You may wish to name Catholic Charities as a beneficiary or as a second beneficiary of an insurance policy or qualified retirement plan. Property is distributed to a secondary beneficiary only if you outlive all of your named beneficiaries.
You decide how your gift will be used - you can designate your gift to any specific program or services, or if you would like your gift to be applied to a particular local office.
