Catholic Charities & Chelsea Groton Foundation Helping Our Community
Last week, The Chelsea Groton Foundation awarded a $15,000 grant to Catholic Charities’ Intensive Case Management/ Emergency Basic Needs program which offers assistance with food, shelter, clothing, utilities, prescription assistance and emergency transportation to people in need.  The program also offers assistance with planning the transition to self-reliance when a health issue, loss of employment or a home, has left families up-ended.  The Chelsea Groton Foundation understands the value of giving, and their generosity will make a pathway of light for oth...

Thanksgiving Baskets;  Blessing Needy Families in our Community
On Monday, November 18, Catholic Charities welcomed clients and families to their annual Thanksgiving turkey distribution with fixings at our Norwich, Willimantic, and New London offices. The agency distributed turkeys and chickens supplemented with gravy, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing mix, green beans, and crescent rolls to over 220 families. Catholic Charities' Board Member Dr. Christopher Lipinski Invested into the Order of Malta
On November 15, 2019, Dr. Christopher Lipinski was invested into the Order of Malta. The investiture took place at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City during the Solemn Mass of Investiture celebrated by Cardinal Se├ín Patrick O’Malley, OFM Cap, Archbishop of Boston.
